Week 7 of the NFL
The Cowboys lost. The Rams won their second straight. Cincinatti remains winless. Tennessee still hasn't lost. The NFL is becoming a league of parity, and I love it. I believe the New England Patriots of 07-08 were good for the NFL as the interest grew, watching and waiting to see if they could do the unprobable. Even though there isn't a team like that this year-no disrespect to Tennessee-parity is a great thing for the NFL. The any given Sunday principle seems to be forgotten sometimes in the NFL. The league is becoming a crapshoot, with every team having the ability to compete every single week. This not only makes all the games more interesting, it will create more interest from fans. Fans may think the lowly St. Louis Rams could beat the highly-touted Dallas Cowboys. Oh wait, that just happened. Even though I compete in a league where I pick the games, it creates a challenge. What use to be a league of good teams and bad, is turning into a league of just teams. The word upset may become less and less used as the season grows. And I like it.
